You planned the trip.
We’ll make sure you actually get to enjoy it.
Specialized behavioral companionship for families visiting Oʻahu with a loved one with autism or another intellectual or developmental disability — so the person who plans everything finally gets to rest too.

Neurodivergent-led
Behavioral support with beach access.
You know how this usually goes.
You planned it for months. You packed the headphones, the fidgets, the safe snacks, the backup safe snacks. And then you spent seven days in paradise standing guard — scanning exits, counting heads, reading the room before anyone else noticed there was a room to read.
You came home needing a vacation from your vacation.
That’s not you failing at relaxing. That’s you doing an unpaid professional job nobody trained you for, in a swimsuit.
“I don’t just see behavior. I feel the environment that’s causing it.”
I’m a certified RBT with years of 1:1 experience supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I’m also autistic and ADHD myself.
That second part isn’t a footnote — it’s the whole difference. I notice the buzzing light before it becomes a problem. I feel the crowd pressure building ten minutes early. I know that sand is heaven for one kid and a full-system emergency for another, and I never need that explained twice.
Your loved one doesn’t have to translate themselves to me. That’s the point.
What a session actually looks like
Every family starts with a free Connection Call. We build an Island Support Plan together before you ever land.
Behavioral Respite
1:1 support at your resort or rental while you go have dinner, get the massage, or sleep. Familiar setting, no transitions required.
Best for: the first night out in years.
Safety Shadowing
Out in the world — beach, Aulani, the zoo, an excursion. Elopement awareness, water safety, sensory breaks planned before overload, not after.
Best for: the day everyone wants to do something big.
Local Sensory Guide
I know which coves stay quiet, which paths are shaded, where the bathrooms are and where the noise drops off. Local knowledge, applied to your family specifically.
Best for: exploring without gambling on it.
The “Alongside” option
Not ready to leave? I can stay with your family for a first session — a bridge, not the destination. Rest is the whole point, but trust comes first, and trust isn’t something you should have to fake.
The Calm Kit comes with me
Fidgets, visual timers, noise-reducing headphones, texture options. Tell me what your person loves on the Connection Call and it’s in the bag before I arrive.
Packages
Three-hour minimum. Prices shown before Hawaiʻi general excise tax. A 50% deposit holds your dates.
Add-ons: early or late hours (before 8am / after 7pm) +$10/hr · holiday and peak dates +15% · neighbor-island sessions by arrangement. Hawaiʻi general excise tax added to all invoices.
🌅 Founding Families — five spots
We’re welcoming our first five families with 15% off your first booking — and a real hand in shaping how this service grows. Your feedback becomes the roadmap.
How booking works
Five steps, spread out. Nothing long, and nothing you have to do all at once.
1 · Connection Call
Free, about 30 minutes, no pressure. We talk through your trip and what a genuinely good day looks like for your loved one. Prefer not to hop on a call? We can do all of this by email — just say so.
2 · Safety & Disclosure
A short form with some direct questions — allergies, seizures, whether your person wanders or is drawn to water. Some of it is blunt on purpose. It’s how I make sure I’m truly the right fit before either of us commits, instead of us finding out on a beach.
3 · Agreement & deposit
A simple service agreement and a 50% deposit lock your dates. The balance is due before the first session — no money conversations mid-trip.
4 · Connection Profile
The good part. Their sparks, their sensory world, what soothes them, what you’d never think to mention but I’d want to know. This comes right after your deposit — the earlier I have it, the more I can actually build around it. Share only what you’re comfortable with.
5 · Your Island Support Plan
I write it up and send it to you for approval before I book anything — the shape of each session, where we’d go, the sensory notes. Nothing gets scheduled that you haven’t said yes to. Then a short note a couple of days before you land: anything changed?
Clear about what this is — and isn’t
You should never have to guess what you’re getting.
What I provide
- 1:1 behavioral companionship and safety shadowing
- Regulation support, sensory-aware and lived-in
- A co-created Island Support Plan
- The Calm Kit, tailored to your person
What I don’t
- No medical or nursing care, no medication administration
- No diapering, toileting assistance, bathing, or clinical feeding — a caregiver stays reachable for hand-offs
- No transport — warm hand-off only, you drop off and pick up
- Not clinical RBT or ABA therapy. This is respite, and on vacation that’s the better thing.
Your rest makes space for someone else’s.
For every 10 hours of respite booked by visiting families, we donate 1 hour of professional respite to a local Oʻahu family living with an intellectual or developmental disability — awarded through trusted community partner organizations, with priority given to Native Hawaiian-led and Native Hawaiian-serving partners.
Specialized support like this is a luxury many local families simply can’t access. Giving back to the ʻohana who call these islands home isn’t a marketing angle — it’s the kuleana that comes with doing business here.
Questions families actually ask
So… are you a babysitter?
No. I’m a behavioral specialist. I hold an RBT certification and provide safety shadowing and regulation support for neurodivergent travelers. It’s a higher level of professional support than a standard sitter — which is also why it’s trained, credentialed, and priced differently. Liability coverage is placed for every booked session before the date.
What ages do you work with?
Toddlers through adults. Autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities. If you’re not sure whether your loved one is a fit, ask me on the Connection Call — I’ll tell you honestly.
What if my loved one is non-speaking or uses AAC?
Completely welcome. The Connection Profile asks how they communicate so I arrive already fluent in their system rather than learning it in front of them.
What happens if they have a hard day?
Hard days are part of the job, not a failure of it. I watch for early signs of overload and move before escalation. If a session genuinely needs to end early, we handle it with care — and there’s a one-time compassionate reschedule built into the policy for exactly this.
What if my child isn’t toilet trained?
That’s fine — I just don’t provide personal care. A caregiver needs to stay reachable and within about fifteen minutes for hand-offs. You’ll get a text, we’ll meet, and the session continues.
Do you take photos?
Only with your explicit choice. The agreement offers three options: full consent, silhouettes and no identifiable faces, or no photos at all. Any of the three is completely fine, and it never affects your service.
How far ahead should we book?
As early as you can — I’m one person, and dates go. But ask anyway even if your trip is soon; sometimes it works.
Ready to exhale?
Bring your loved one exactly as they are — their sparks, their stims, their whole authentic self. Nothing about them needs fixing to have a wonderful afternoon with me.
